Delete your account
You can delete your BÜ Kampüs account yourself from the app. This page explains the steps and what is removed.
Delete from inside the app
The quickest way to delete your account is the app:
- Open the BÜ Kampüs app and sign in.
- Go to your profile and settings.
- Tap “Delete my account”.
- Confirm by entering your password.
What happens when you delete
- Your name, email address, faculty, department, class year, biography and profile picture are removed; the account is anonymised as “Deleted user”.
- Your usage and activity records are deleted.
- Your event RSVPs are deleted, so you no longer take up places in event capacity.
- Your current sessions become invalid immediately.
This cannot be undone
Deleting an account is irreversible. If you wish, export your data first using the “download my data” option in the app.
If you cannot access the app
If you forgot your password or cannot install the app, reach us through the data request page or the contact page; we will reply within the legal time limits.

Data deleted and retained, and for how long
When you delete your account, your data is handled as shown in the table below. The “When you delete” column gives the action and the “Period” column says when the data is removed.
